Alex Divine and Chris Slade transformed a memorable weekend into a career-defining one when The Heavenly Assassins captured the MCW Tag Team Championships at MCW Anniversary.

MCW Pro Wrestling’s 28th Anniversary celebration took place Sunday, July 19, at the North Point Flea Market in Dundalk, Maryland. The Heavenly Assassins defeated WWE legends The Headbangers—Mosh and Thrasher—and former champions Sexy & Blessed—Chulo Montana and Ykies—in a triple-threat match to leave Dundalk with the gold.

The victory completed an incredible two-night stretch for Divine and Slade, who had been opponents less than 24 hours earlier in the finals of the 25th annual Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup.

Rivals on Saturday, Champions on Sunday

During Saturday night’s tournament, Alex Divine and Chris Slade both advanced into the six-man elimination final alongside Tyler Breeze, Danny Grandview, Daron Richardson and Raheem Royal.

Slade entered the tournament as the defending Shamrock Cup winner after capturing the prestigious trophy in 2025. He nearly repeated, eliminating former WWE star Tyler Breeze before reaching the final two.

However, it was Divine who ultimately eliminated his own tag-team partner to win the 2026 Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup.
