Mandy Rose Open to WWE, AEW or TNA Return: “I Would Take Any Call”

Mandy Rose has not competed inside a wrestling ring since her sudden WWE departure in December 2022, but the former NXT Women’s Champion is no longer closing the door on a comeback.

During an appearance on TMZ’s Inside the Ring, Rose confirmed that she would listen if WWE, AEW or TNA approached her with an opportunity. That opportunity would not necessarily need to involve an immediate full-time return to wrestling. She is also open to discussing managerial work or another on-screen role.

“For sure. I would take any call, whether it was AEW, WWE, TNA. It doesn’t matter where it’s from.”

Rose’s comments were transcribed and reported by Ringside News from her TMZ interview.

There is currently no confirmation that Rose is negotiating with any wrestling organization.

Her statement nevertheless represents a noticeable change from earlier interviews in which she appeared less interested in returning to wrestling full-time.

Mandy Rose Says Any Offer Must Reflect Who She Is Today

Rose made it clear that answering the phone would only begin the conversation.

Any agreement would need to reflect the significant changes in her personal and professional life since leaving WWE. Rose is now a mother, has achieved financial independence outside wrestling and possesses far greater control over her schedule and public image.

She explained that a company would have to negotiate with the person she is today—not the performer she was several years ago.

That distinction could affect her schedule, compensation, creative direction and willingness to wrestle regularly. Rose acknowledged the physical demands of professional wrestling and said she would also consider appearing as a manager without immediately returning to competition.

She still refused to rule out another match, repeating the familiar wrestling phrase “never say never.”

For Rose, the decision would seemingly depend on the opportunity rather than simply the company making the offer.

Could Mandy Rose Return to WWE?

A WWE comeback would provide the clearest opportunity to finish a story that ended without a proper conclusion.

Rose joined WWE through Tough Enough in 2015 before developing into a main-roster performer alongside Sonya Deville. She later returned to NXT, transformed her presentation and became the leader of Toxic Attraction with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne.

That run produced the greatest success of her wrestling career.

Rose captured the NXT Women’s Championship in October 2021 and held it for 413 days. Her reign included victories over several leading challengers and the unification of the NXT and NXT UK women’s titles at Worlds Collide.

Roxanne Perez defeated Rose for the championship on December 13, 2022, in what remains Rose’s most recent match. WWE’s official footage preserves the unexpected championship change.

Rose was released the following day after WWE determined that material distributed through her subscription platform conflicted with company expectations.

The abrupt timing left Toxic Attraction’s story unfinished and prevented Rose from receiving an on-screen farewell. A return could allow WWE to revisit that history while introducing a more experienced and independently successful version of her character.

However, both sides would likely need to reach a clear understanding regarding Rose’s outside businesses and control over her personal brand.

Rose has said she is not bitter toward WWE and remains grateful for the platform the company provided. She summarized her outlook by saying WWE made its decision—and she made her own decision profitable. Rose discussed her post-WWE success and current relationship with the company.

AEW Would Offer an Entirely New Beginning

AEW would represent the freshest option because Rose has never worked for the promotion.

Instead of revisiting her WWE history, AEW could introduce her as a completely reinvented personality. She could compete against wrestlers she has never previously faced, join an established faction or begin in a managerial position before deciding whether she wants to wrestle again.

Rose’s name recognition and social-media following would also give AEW a performer capable of generating attention before her first appearance.

The key question would be how AEW intends to use her.

A surprise debut could create a strong initial reaction, but Rose would need a defined character and meaningful direction after the introduction. Her successful NXT reinvention demonstrated that she works best when given a clear identity, supporting cast and long-term purpose.

AEW could provide new opponents and creative freedom, but there is no indication that Tony Khan’s company has made an offer.

TNA Could Reunite Mandy Rose With Her Best Friend

TNA may offer the most immediately recognizable storyline.

Rose’s longtime friend and former tag-team partner Daria Rae—known in WWE as Sonya Deville—currently serves as an authority figure in TNA. Rose and Rae previously competed together as Fire and Desire before becoming rivals during one of WWE’s most prominent women’s storylines of 2020.

Rae joined TNA in January 2026 and has since become an influential on-screen figure within the company. Her arrival opened a new chapter following her WWE departure.

That connection gives TNA several potential directions.

Rae could recruit Rose as the centerpiece of her vision for the Knockouts division. The two could reunite as allies, recreate their former partnership under new identities or eventually resume their rivalry.

TNA could also offer Rose a prominent role without requiring the demanding schedule traditionally associated with WWE. Her presence would bring additional attention to the Knockouts division while allowing her to determine gradually whether she wants to wrestle again.

No reunion has been announced, but the existing relationship between Rose and Rae makes TNA more than an afterthought in the discussion.

A Return Would Happen on Mandy Rose’s Terms

Rose is in a stronger negotiating position than she was during her original WWE career.

She no longer needs professional wrestling to serve as her only source of income or public exposure. Her success outside the industry means she can evaluate an opportunity based on creative value, schedule, physical demands and personal fulfillment.

That freedom could make a limited schedule particularly attractive.

A company could initially use Rose for promotional appearances, interviews or managerial segments before building toward an eventual match. That approach would allow her to test whether she still wants the physical commitment of wrestling without immediately agreeing to a full-time schedule.

It would also make her eventual return to the ring feel more significant.

Is Mandy Rose Actually Returning?

For now, Mandy Rose is open to returning—she has not announced that a return is happening.

There is no publicly confirmed contract, offer or active negotiation involving WWE, AEW or TNA. Her comments should therefore be treated as an invitation to talk rather than evidence that a deal has already been reached.

Still, wrestling returns often begin when a performer publicly signals that the door is open.

WWE provides unfinished business and the biggest possible homecoming. AEW offers an entirely new environment and fresh opponents. TNA presents a ready-made connection with Daria Rae and the possibility of an immediate featured role.

Rose appears willing to hear every pitch.

The only certainty is that whichever company calls will have to negotiate with Mandy Rose as she exists today—not the version that left WWE nearly four years ago.
