Keanu Carver’s future in WWE is facing fresh uncertainty following a report that people within the company believe the NXT wrestler may not return.

According to Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter reporting, as quoted by Athlon Sports, Carver has been absent from television and, according to company sources, “may be gone for good.”

That wording is significant: it describes an internal belief about his future, rather than confirmation that WWE has released him. The reporting reviewed for this article does not establish a publicly announced termination.

The update comes as a civil protection-order case involving Carver continues.

Arianna Grace Identified in Protection-Order Reporting

POST Wrestling’s original investigation reported that a Florida judge granted a temporary protection order against Carver, whose legal name is Kevin Robertson, on September 14.

Following a September 22 hearing, the order was extended through another hearing scheduled for October 20, according to POST’s account of court records.

The order prohibits contact with the petitioner and requires Robertson to stay at least 500 feet away.

POST reported that the petition alleges repeated unwanted visits and calls after a relationship ended, as well as abusive and threatening conduct during the relationship. These remain allegations; the existence of a temporary civil order should not be presented as a criminal conviction.

At the time of POST’s report, the outlet could not confirm whether criminal charges would be filed. It reported that the State Attorney’s Office said the matter was being investigated.

What Is Known About His NXT Absence?

Carver’s last reported television appearance was on September 8, followed by a September 12 live-event match in Lakeland, Florida. POST said WWE did not answer questions about his employment status, a possible suspension or an internal investigation.

Those unanswered questions matter when assessing the latest Observer report. Being absent from programming, being suspended and being formally released are different circumstances. The available reporting does not establish which employment action, if any, WWE has taken.

It also does not establish the precise arrangements concerning Carver’s access to the Performance Center. A court-imposed distance requirement should not automatically be described as a confirmed WWE facility ban.

Carver Posted, Then Deleted, Responses

WON/F4W reported that Carver posted messages apparently responding to the coverage before deleting them.

In one, he wrote: “Yall gone sound dumb ash in a month.”

The posts challenged the reaction to the reports but did not provide a detailed public answer to the individual allegations. They should not be treated as resolving the case or establishing what evidence will emerge later.

The Next Developments Matter More Than Speculation

The latest report places a serious question over Carver’s wrestling future. A definitive conclusion still requires a confirmed employment update or further reporting that establishes his status.

For Grapple News, the central issues are personal safety, compliance with the court’s order and accurate reporting of the proceedings. This situation concerns real people and serious allegations; it should not be packaged as a wrestling feud or a fan vote on guilt.

The next meaningful developments will be any public response from WWE, further statements from those involved and the court proceedings. Until then, the supported headline is that Carver may be gone for good—not that his permanent departure has been confirmed.
