WWE and AEW are competing for wrestling fans’ attention again this Saturday, just days after NXT finished ahead of AEW’s Grand Slam France edition of Dynamite in total U.S. television viewers.

On October 10, WWE presents Money in the Bank from New Orleans, while AEW airs the Grand Slam France edition of Collision. Roman Reigns defending against LA Knight, two Money in the Bank ladder matches and AEW championship bouts give viewers plenty to choose from.

There is a scheduling distinction: WWE starts at 6 p.m. ET, two hours before Collision begins at 8 p.m. ET. This is an anticipated overlap between a live premium event and a taped television special, rather than two shows starting together.

When and Where to Watch

Show

Saturday, October 10 start

U.S. platform

Presentation

WWE Money in the Bank

6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT

ESPN App with ESPN Unlimited

Live from Smoothie King Center, New Orleans

AEW Collision: Grand Slam France

8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT

TNT and HBO Max

Taped at Adidas Arena, Paris

ESPN’s event announcement confirms WWE’s start time, venue and U.S. access. Pro Wrestling Dot Net’s Collision preview lists AEW’s broadcast time and notes that it was recorded Tuesday in Paris. AEW’s original announcement confirmed that the France event would include both Dynamite and Collision tapings.

The two-hour head start could help WWE keep fans watching as Collision begins. AEW, meanwhile, has to give viewers a reason to switch over or make its broadcast their first choice at 8 p.m. The exact overlap depends on Money in the Bank’s running time.

WWE Brings Roman Reigns and the Briefcases

  • World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight.

  • Women’s World Championship: Stephanie Vaquer vs. Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan.

  • Men’s Money in the Bank: CM Punk, Kevin Owens, Trick Williams, Penta, Je’Von Evans and Bron Breakker.

  • Women’s Money in the Bank: Jacy Jayne, Tiffany Stratton, Lash Legend, Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca and Lola Vice.

  • Oba Femi vs. Bronson Reed.

The briefcases are WWE’s strongest source of uncertainty. Winning a ladder match can change a wrestler’s direction immediately, and the possibility of a cash-in gives audiences a reason to stay through the entire event.

Reigns against Knight adds a major singles attraction, while the women’s championship match puts three established personalities in direct competition. Femi and Reed offer a different kind of appeal: a heavyweight collision built around power.

AEW Counters With Championships and a Deep Card

The supplied Grand Slam France graphic and Collision’s reported lineup advertise:

  • AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Young Bucks vs. The Dogs.

  • AEW National Championship: Andrade El Idolo vs. Michael Oku.

  • Mixed Fight in Paris: The Conglomeration vs. The Death Riders.

  • Chris Jericho vs. Nick Wayne.

  • Clockwork Carnage qualifier: Lee Moriarty vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey.

  • Women’s tag-team No. 1 contender’s match: Sisters of Sin vs. Divine Dominion vs. Wrathlander.

  • Swerve Strickland vs. Carlie Bravo.

This preview does not include taped results.

AEW’s pitch is variety: title defenses, established stars, emerging opponents and several divisions represented. Andrade against Oku and Moriarty against Bailey could appeal particularly to fans choosing their viewing around individual matchups.

A taped broadcast can still deliver excellent wrestling. The challenge is convincing viewers to prioritize it while a major live event is underway.

NXT Beat Grand Slam France in Total Viewers

Tuesday’s results have already added fuel to the rivalry.

Wrestlenomics reported the following October 6 figures:

Program

Average U.S. TV viewers

Adults 18–49 rating

WWE NXT — The CW

532,000

0.10

AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam France — TBS

495,000

0.11

NXT led by 37,000 viewers. AEW held a small advantage in the advertiser-focused 18–49 demographic.

That makes “NXT won total viewership” accurate. Calling it a sweep of the ratings would leave out AEW’s demographic lead.

POST Wrestling’s analysis notes that the figures exclude HBO Max viewing for AEW and ESPN Unlimited viewing for NXT. Dynamite also moved from Wednesday because of baseball coverage, with its Paris show airing on a delay against live NXT.

NXT’s Women Deserve Credit—With One Correction

NXT’s women closed the show with the interpromotional battle royal won by Wren Sinclair under a Lady Shani disguise. That main event gave the broadcast a memorable final reveal and advanced the championship story involving Kelani Jordan.

However, the claim that NXT had no main-roster involvement needs correcting. POST specifically identifies Ivy Nile and Kiana James as main-roster participants in the battle royal.

Its assessment was that WWE did not unusually load up the episode with additional star cameos.

The meaningful takeaway is that a women-led NXT main event helped anchor a show that outdrew a major AEW special overall. The program averages alone do not prove that the women’s match caused the viewership win; that would require more detailed audience data.

What Would a Saturday Victory Actually Mean?

Saturday’s competition will not produce the same straightforward comparison as Tuesday’s two television broadcasts. Money in the Bank streams in the U.S., while Collision has both a TNT audience and a streaming audience.

Without comparable published figures, one company’s television rating cannot establish which event reached more people across every platform.

For fans, the more interesting contest may be which show delivers the moments worth discussing afterward. WWE has the uncertainty of the briefcases and a live championship card. AEW has a busy Paris lineup with several opportunities to deliver standout matches.

Which show gets your first screen on Saturday—and which match made the decision for you?
