Keanu Carver Reportedly Released by WWE Amid Protection-Order Case

Grapple News | October 5, 2026

Keanu Carver’s WWE run has reportedly ended as a civil protection-order case involving the NXT performer continues.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported on October 5 that Carver, whose real name is Kevin Robertson, had been removed from WWE’s internal roster and was no longer with the company.
The development moves the story beyond earlier reports questioning whether Carver would return to NXT. However, WWE has not publicly explained the departure or confirmed that the legal matter was the reason for its decision.
Release Reported October 5, but Reportedly Took Place Earlier
F4WOnline subsequently reported that Bryan Alvarez had learned Carver was released the previous week.
That distinction matters: October 5 is the date of the latest reporting, rather than a confirmed date on which WWE terminated his contract.
POST Wrestling also covered his reported departure, citing PWInsider, and said WWE had not responded to its request for confirmation.
What Has Been Reported About the Protection Order?
According to POST Wrestling’s reporting by Brandon Thurston and John Pollock, another NXT talent sought a protection order against Robertson after their relationship ended.
The petition alleges stalking and harassment, including repeated unwanted visits to the petitioner’s home and as many as 44 calls in one day. POST reported that the filing included call screenshots and security-camera images relating to the allegations.
A judge granted a temporary protection order on September 14. At a September 22 hearing, the court extended it through another hearing scheduled for October 20. The order prohibits contact with the petitioner and requires Robertson to remain at least 500 feet away.
These remain allegations in an ongoing civil proceeding. PWInsider reported on October 5 that Carver had not been criminally charged. A temporary protection order and a reported employment decision should not be presented as a criminal conviction.
Carver’s Recent NXT Run
Carver joined WWE in late 2023 after playing college football at Temple University. His development included appearances in the NXT Breakout Tournament and on EVOLVE before he received a larger role on NXT television, according to POST Wrestling.
F4WOnline identifies his final televised match as the September 8 episode of NXT. He teamed with EK Prosper and Cruz Montana against Mason Rook, Saquon Shugars and Tony D’Angelo.
His most recent reported match was September 12 at an NXT live event in Lakeland, Florida, where he defeated Brad Baylor. That places his last known bout in mid-September, shortly before the protection-order filing.
What Happens Next?
The next scheduled court hearing is October 20. WWE’s reported decision does not resolve the allegations or determine what will happen in court.
Carver previously posted comments on social media suggesting his critics would be proven wrong, then deleted them, according to PWInsider. Those posts did not provide a detailed public response to the individual allegations.

For now, the central update is that multiple outlets report Carver is no longer with WWE. The court proceedings remain ongoing, and the company has not publicly detailed its decision.
